5th North Dakota Film Society Awards Nominations Announced

Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” leads the nominations for the 5th Annual North Dakota Film Society Awards. The film earned 13 nominations, including those for Best Picture and Best Director. Yorgos Lanthimos’s “Poor Things” earned 12 nominations.

Searchlight Pictures and Netflix tied for the most nominations among studios, with 14 nominations each, including two Best Picture nominees (“May December” and “Poor Things”). A24 and Universal Pictures followed with 13 nominations each, including nods in Best Picture with “Past Lives” and “Oppenheimer.”

Winners will be announced on Monday, January 15, 2024.

The North Dakota Film Society is composed of film journalists, educators, exhibitors and filmmakers based in North Dakota.
